Explanation:
This parameter idicates if a species is classified as habitat specialist and the type of habitat it prefers. A habitat specialist depends on a certain microhabitat during essential parts of its larval stages (e.g. stable substrates for filter-feeders, lithal with epilithic diatoms for grazers) or during pupation (e.g. wood for Lepidostoma basale).
