Der Parameter gibt an, welche Stadien einer Art aquatisch sind. Viele (holobiotische) Organismen verbringen ihren kompletten Lebenszyklus im Wasser, andere (amphibiotische) Organismen nur bestimmte Perioden ihres Lebens. Es gibt vier Kategorien.
